Multifocal contact lens is designed in two ways. Some styles are designed in which using the same lense, both the far and near corrective

Multifocal contact lenses are available in three different styles including alternating, concentric and simultaneous styles. In alternating
styles, the distant correction is placed on above half of lens.
On the other hand the visual correction which is near, is present at the bottom half of the lens. So, with the help of this arrangement you
can easily look at things available at distant places. Moreover, you can also look below to read a magazine, newspaper or a book.
In simultaneous styles, the two parts of the lens are fixed very near to the centre. These two parts are placed near the pupil of the eye.
In concentric multifocal contact lens the distant part is close perimeter of the lens. On the other hand the near corrective visual part is
near the centre. Many other choices available include enhancement tints, light filtering tints, opaque tints and visibility tints.
